Splice fittings refer to fittings used for the connection between two conductors, capable of meeting the mechanical and electrical performance requirements of the conductors.
Overhead transmission lines require the use of splice fittings for connection. For conductors, splice fittings not only need to establish a good electrical current path but also bear the tension of the conductor, and their strength and gripping force must not be lower than 95% of the calculated tensile strength of the conductor.
